OCCUPATIONAL FIELD 31, TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT

The traffic management OccFld includes the procurement/acquisition of DoD or commercial transportation resources for the movement of personnel, equipment, supplies and personal property via air, bus, rail, truck, and water.

Qualifications include familiarity with transport equipment and related limitations, commercial and DoD transportation system, transportation procurement procedures and preparation of procurement and tracking documents.

This includes a comprehensive understanding of commercial carriers tariffs, United States/foreign government rules and regulations applicable to the movement of personnel and material in domestic and foreign transport.
