Coast Guard
Reserve Good Conduct Medal

Initially established as the Coast Guard Reserve Meritorious Service
ribbon, this award was renamed and authorized as the Coast Guard Reserve Good
Conduct Medal on September 3, 1981. Awarded on a selective basis to enlisted
personnel of the Coast Guard Reserve on inactive duty who fulfill with
distinction the obligations of inactive Reservists. The service required is
similar to that for the Coast Guard Good
Conduct Medal for active duty personnel of the U.S. Coast Guard.
